About Shelly

I'd describe my personality as fun, caring, and adventurous. I like working with kids because kids have such an innocent and fun view of the world. They say what's on their mind and aren't afraid to be curious. I like seeing their personalities come to life as they engage in different activities. I started working with kids when I was still in high school in NE. I worked with the 2nd grade class and occasionally babysat outside of school. After high school, I worked at a preschool. Once I decided I was ready to move for college, I spent some time working at a childcare center in SD and did some occasional babysitting when visiting back home. In my spare time, I enjoy being outside with my puppy dog, Mayze, going on hikes, swimming, and working on art projects! My skills include creating a safe space where the children can be themselves, coming up with fun and engaging activities, and making sure the children are enjoying their days to the best of my ability.
