About Shelley

While most of my care taking years (40+) have been caring for children, I have 8 years of experience caring for my father who had dementia. I handled all aspects of his care including bathing, meal preparation, shopping, paying bills, doctor's appointments, medication ordering and prompting, laundry, and social events. Whether it was a drive through town to grab a happy meal and sit by the lake or dressing up to go to the theater to see a play, we stayed active. The things that were important to him, were important to me. I am CPR certified and have experience as a Direct Support Professional. More than anything, I have compassion.
