Shelley watched over our oldest when he was 3 months old and then our youngest since she was born until they went to pre-K. She was great with them and the kids absolutely loved her. besides being very reliable, she was very nurturing with the kids, reading them their favorite books over and over at their request, which has led to them being absolute bookworms as grade schoolers. when the kids reached their terrible two's (and three's), she was incredibly patient with them, being gentle yet firm. she also communicated very well, reaching out if there was anything that she felt warranted a judgement call. We would wholeheartedly recommend Shelley to anyone. She helped out our family more than we can fathom - caring for, guiding, teaching, and protecting our kids in the crucial initial years. We can say without a doubt that she helped our kids have a leg up over other toddlers in preschool in terms of emotional maturity/knowledge.
