Hello! My name is Shelby. I am currently wrapping up my 5th year of teaching and I am applying to graduate school in pursuit in a a career in counseling. I am the oldest sibling of 4, so I've always identified as a caretaker. Right out of college I had the honor of being the primary caregiver for a 2-week-old. I ended up being his nanny for the first 8 months of his life. It was incredibly special. I taught kindergarten my first year teaching and I've been in 5th grade ever since. I have worked in summer camping for many years with kids of various ages. I was also a summer nanny for kindergartener/first grader. He and I conducted experiments, completed a reading list, and we went on many adventures. I am someone who gets along with everyone and I have a ton of experience working with children. I hope to use my skills in child care and education to support your family.

Shelby has kept my two kiddos numerous times. She is great with the kiddos and we all adore her. The kids love her because she is energetic and fun. My husband and I love her because she is energetic but she also has a very calm easy going personality, responsible, and great work ethic. She was/is always punctual and reliable. I have a boy and a girl and she does great with both. My son is the typical rambunctious boy and Shelby has no problems keeping up with him and he always looks forward to seeing her. We sure miss her since she went to college! I highly recommend Shelby.
