About Shelby

I'd describe my personality as creative, passionate, and empathetic. I like working with kids because I love helping to shape young minds. It's a cliche (for a reason), but children are the future and it's important to foster safe and nurturing environments in these early years. I'm looking for a job that offers flexibility as I am a college student (online). I appreciate solid communication and clear guidelines. In my spare time, I like to crochet, watch football, and learn Italian. I am also currently learning how to knit! I love anything that allows me to design or learn new skills. My skills include behavior management. including positive reinforcement and redirection. I have experience with special needs children so I am very adept at navigating complex behaviors. Communication is another skill I value because it is the foundation of everything. Finally I try my best to have plenty of patience and provide emotional support to the children I work with.
