About Shelby

I have a deep passion for nurturing and educating young minds, which led me to become a childcare provider. With six years of experience from babysitting to working at a boarding school for kids and now as a high school teacher, I have gained expertise in caring for children of all ages, from infants to teens. My creative and friendly nature allows me to connect easily with children, making their time in my care both enjoyable and educational. I believe in open communication with parents and keep them updated about their child's day. I am also very comfortable enforcing household rules to ensure a safe and structured environment for the children. My diverse range of skills includes leading outdoor sports, engaging in board games and puzzles, and facilitating educational games that promote learning. I am certified in First Aid and CPR, and I have also completed some graduate-level coursework. I am happy to help with cooking, carpooling, grocery shopping and light housekeeping.
