About Shelby

Hi Families, My name is Shelby, and I am a credentialed teacher with a strong passion for working with children and helping them grow into confident, capable individuals. I recently completed my teaching residency while earning my teaching credential in both History/Social science and English. I have serval years of experience working with children through nannying, tutoring, teaching, and childcare, and I truly love helping kids learn, grow, and build confidence. For the past 4 years, I worked as a long-term nanny for a family with both a boy and a girl. I helped with school pick-up, homework, tutoring, meal prep, daily routines. I loved becoming a trusted part of their lives and supporting the children over the years. Because of my background in education, I am also able to provide strong academic support and tutoring. I strive to create a safe, positive, and caring environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and able to be themselves.
