I am currently a high school special education teacher in Bronx, NY for 5 students with Autism. Before this, I was a teaching assistant for children who had emotional behavioral disorders and cognitive impairments. At both teaching positions, I did a lot of social skills education, as well as structured teaching methods. I am working on my Master's degree in Adolescent Special Education and currently have a transitional B certification. I have also been receiving training in phonics and behavior education for children with special needs. I absolutely love my job and love the students I work with. I have an understanding of the behavioral, sensory and educational needs of students with special needs and want to continue working with these children!
