About Shelby

Hi! My name is Shelby. I started babysitting when I was about 13. I have worked as a summer camp counselor with a variety of ages, after-school program leader for elementary age children, and volunteered for a therapeutic horseback riding program for people with special needs. I have also worked in kids ski school at a resort in Lake Tahoe. Most recently, I was a nanny for two different families, both with toddlers. I took the 2 and 3-year-olds sledding and went on bike rides and walks. We played hide and seek, did arts and crafts, and learned to cook and be safe in the kitchen. I am big on manners and being polite. I also really enjoy helping kids learn to express themselves in healthy ways. I am a very active and love the outdoors, so I try to share that passion with children. Music is a big part of my life as well. First aid and CPR certified. I have no problem changing dirty diapers and helping with potty training if need be. I also love animals.
