About shelby

My experience with childcare started when I was a child myself! My mom ran an in-home daycare for a decade and I learned so much from her. From middle school to college years, I volunteered in children's ministry, working with ages 3-13 years old. I have babysat for several families over the years and spent the summers of high school and college nannying. After undergrad I worked as a residential supervisor at a boarding school for high school girls while attending grad school for clinical psychology. During my internship, I worked in-home with developmentally delayed children ages newborn to 8 years old. Following grad school I was a mental health therapist in a private practice, then a hospital working with both children and adults in each setting. Currently, I work as a therapist with adults only. I have a full time job but I miss working with kiddos and I'm hoping for extra money to put toward buying a house.
