About Shelby

Hi! My name is Shelby, I'm 20 and I was a sophomore at a University pursuing a Child Studies and Early Childhood Education bachelors. Personal and financial issues caused me to take leave, so I am always looking for more experience with kids. I've always been the eldest girl amongst my cousins and have always taken care of them. I have been babysitting for various families since I was 14 years old. I volunteered at a daycare center in the toddler room on my campus last year and interned for a kindergarten teacher at a public school in Boston. I loved it so much that I know I want my career to involve caring for and helping children, and kids have always been attracted to me just as I am attracted to their energy and imagination. I recently moved back from Boston to the Rochester area and I am very excited to expand my network and learn how I can help my community!
