Shelbie joined our family for companion care for my mom diagnosed with vascular dementia. Shelbie is compassionate, patient, creative, kind and warm and just the perfect person to entrust your loved one with. She listened to my mom’s stories, laughed with her, took walks, painted and cooked along with everyday needs. She took her to the hairdresser or to tea, or just for a drive, for a change of scenery.  My mom loved her. We love Shelbie for all she provided mom, but also for the peace of mind and relief she gave us. There is no rating high enough for her. 

We were lucky to be blessed with Shelbie's help during my mother's difficult transition from independent to assisted living.  My mother experienced a rapid decline in ability both physically and cognitively within a short period of time during the pandemic.  Shelbie quickly became a regular part of the family regarding contributions that ranged from lifestyle companionship, transportation, medical appointments, and feedback based on time spent together with my mother.

It was difficult to reduce the level of professional support that Shelbie provided once my mother moved into an assisted living facility because their relationship had grown so strong.  Shelbie has since made an effort on her own time to visit regularly and maintain a genuine friendship with my mother.  

I cannot stress enough the positive impact that Shelbie has had on my mother's happiness and well-being

Shelbie was my moms caregiver for a few years, until mom passed away. She was a gift from God that we found her. She was not only my mom's caregiver, but became a dear friend
to my mom and the rest of our family. We were truly blessed to have had her for mom's care and become a part of our family. 

Her care-giving skills are impeccable. She is caring, passionate about her work, punctual, kind, considerate, and is a great liaison between her patient and their family. I could go on and on praising her. Anyone who has her for their care, is truly blessed. 

We not only lost mom, we lost a best friend of mom's and our family. She helped to make mom's quality of life that much more enjoyable. They did a lot together and mom always asked, "When is Shelbie coming?"

There are not enough adjectives to describe how wonderful a person Shelbie is or how incredible a caregiver and companion she can be to your loved one! She made the last two years of my Mom's life fun and loving and eased my worries any day I knew she'd be with my Mom. Her patience is inspiring and for those of us caring for aging parents, often losing our own patience, it can be a much needed break. Shelbie managed household needs for Mom, everything from medications and meals to Christmas decorations and everything in between! From doctor appointments to fun shopping and ice cream together Shelbie's warm and nurturing manor were just what our family needed for the time she spent with us. She never rushed my Mom in any way and never ever made us feel like she was "doing a job" but rather was pitching in to care in any way necessary.  Every single time Shelbie left and I called my Mom to see how the day went the first response was always, "I just love my Shelbie!"
