About Shelandah

Hi! My name is Shyla , and I'm a 19-year-old college student in NYC with 5 years of childcare experience. I started babysitting, pet sitting, and helping families with cleaning and household responsibilities at 13. For the past 2 years, I've worked at a daycare as a Lead Teacher and Assistant. I've planned and led circle time, created lesson plans and projects, supervised children, and supported children with diverse developmental, behavioral, and learning needs. I'm patient, caring, dependable, organized, and have strong communication and time-management skills. I also have experience with cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, and creating fun, age-appropriate activities. I'm CPR certified through the American Heart Association and hold a Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) certification through the National Healthcareer Association.
