About Sheila

Children are my heart, we make each other happy! My first job was in a daycare as a floater, providing invaluable experience with all ages. I then taught my own 3yo class. From there, a student's mom asked if I'd care for her son in their trilingual home. Seeing my teaching style (combining creativity & fun) & how much patience I had with him & all of my tiny students, she believed I could help with the challenges he faced learning English, which I did. I stayed with him for 2 years, until his dad lost his job. They kept me on until I found my next position, which I'll always appreciate. I continued to tutor him at no cost while moving on to care for a toddler and his 2yo twin siblings, potty-training them within 2 weeks. Next, I cared for an infant until he was 2 and, most recently, for an 18-month-old whose parents were completing 1 year, out-of-state, medical fellowships. Caring for & teaching children is what I most enjoy. Would love the opportunity to help your family, as well!
