About Sheila

Before I got into teaching English as a Second Language, I worked as a caregiver for the elders (one was a Chinese guy who had his pancreas exploded and recently, I took care of a Jewish lady with mild dementia as a reliever). Mainly, as a companion, cooked for them, give them their medicine as per-scheduled, assisted them in their bathing, bring them to the restaurants or be with them as they do their light exercise. But what I like the most is just listening and talking to them as they re-lived the past. For me, being a caregiver is a calling from God not only to take care of myself or just my family but to care for others as well.
