About Sheila

Unlocking your child's unique potential is my primary focus as a dedicated educator. With three years of experience and a graduate degree, I specialize in elementary Math and English. My approach centers on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. I am a Certified teacher with expertise in Individualized Education Programs (IEP). I adapt to your child's needs by observing how they interact with new material, utilizing visual aids, and encouraging open communication. When concepts become challenging, I break them into manageable steps and connect lessons to personal interests to maintain momentum. I believe clear communication with families is essential to building a supportive, collaborative environment. Nothing is more rewarding than witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student masters a new skill. I look forward to helping your child grow, and I am truly excited to begin this journey with you.
