About Shea

I am a COTA (certified occupational therapy assistant) wanting to branch out in my career and directly support seniors in my community. I am currently employed at Woodard Creek Health and Rehabilitation and greatly enjoy facilitating independence and building meaningful relationships with my patients. What makes me different from a CNA? Therapists are trained in advanced fall prevention, safety, mobility strategies, and meaningful engagement in daily activities. OT specifically focuses on returning independence, supporting holistic health, and engagement in liesure, self care, and education. I have training and experience working with seniors with dementia, Parkinson's, strokes, TBI, and arthritis. I look forwards to building a strong relationship seniors and assisting families with their care. My favorite part of my job is listening to life stories and experiences.
