About Shay

Hi! My name is Shay and I'm a predental student at Pace University with a passion for working with kids. I've spent four summers as a camp counselor at a sleepaway camp designed for children with technology addictions, where I learned how to create fun, balanced activities that help kids engage in the world around them. I also volunteer at the American Museum of Natural History, teaching school groups from K-12, and I've been a babysitter for three years for a non-verbal autistic child, which taught me patience, creativity, and adaptability. As an older sister to a younger brother, I'm especially great with boys and understand how to keep them engaged and active. Working with children is truly my passion, and I hope to continue that in my career as a future pediatric dentist.
