With a graduate degree and 30 years of experience as a certified teacher, I specialize in elementary Math, English, and Special Education. I hold certifications in Individualized Education Programs (IEP). I believe every student succeeds when provided with personalized support. To ensure this, I assess individual learning styles by varying my methods, utilizing visual aids, hands-on activities, and practice problems. When students face challenging concepts, I break complex problems into manageable steps to build momentum and confidence. Clear communication with both you and your student is essential to setting expectations and tracking progress. Whether we meet online, at the library, or in my home, I find the most rewarding aspect of my work is seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills.
