I'm a mother and grandmother, counting that, my hands-on experience is 30+ years. I raised 2 boys, and took in & cared for my 4 nieces and nephews for several weeks while my sister was unable. I'm dependable, compassionate and very energetic for a 50-year-old. For the last 3 years I've been with a wonderful family and sadly it's time to move on. I love the two boys that I helped in raising, they are going to be amazing adults one day. One of them is on the spectrum, he doesn't say a whole lot but we still know how to communicate. I was hesitant in taking the job due to his diagnosis, I'm so glad that I did, because he has taught me so much!

Shawn puts her heart and soul into everything she does. She is thorough, thoughtful, and amazingly accommodating. It's clear that she adores kids and has a passion for helping. She loves to get on a kid's level and connect with their world. She's equally able to let the child lead or offer her own experience to help them learn. Her caring, empathetic nature is soothing and nurturing. We can't say enough good things about Shawn. And, by the way, she makes delicious cookies!
