Shawna responded to a previous ad for special needs care. I reached back out to her communicating the current pay rate in message and she agreed to a phone interview. As to not waste anyone's time, the first thing I confirmed on the phone interview was pay and scheduling/availability. She agreed, we continued the interview. We scheduled an in-person interview for the following day, confirmed twice, and 1/2 hour before her scheduled arrival, she requested an increase of $4/hr on the rate. I told her the rate is non-negotiable and she did not show. As I did not hire her, I cannot speak to her as a babysitter. Would not hire solely based on the lack of professionalism and consideration.
