About Shawna

Im an experienced Physical Education Associate with years of experience working with children of all ages, including students with special needs and behavioral needs. My background includes recess monitoring, classroom and activity support, personal training, and helping children stay active, safe, and engaged in positive environments. I am trained in child abuse awareness and reporting, de-escalation techniques, and student safety procedures. I started working with kids at a young age through a summer job after high school. I continued into personal training, working with young athletes, and later transitioned into school-based roles after having my twins. I've worked as a Physical Education Associate, helping lead PE classes from Pre-K through 5th grade. I enjoy helping children build confidence, stay active, and feel supported in a positive environment.
