About Shauna

Unlocking a student's unique potential is the heart of my teaching practice. With years of experience working and supporting students I specialize in supporting elementary students in all subjects. I currently teach 2nd grade but have had experience in 1st, 3rd and 4th. I believe in fostering a genuine love for learning by breaking complex problems into manageable steps and connecting concepts to real-world interests. I adapt my methods through visual aids, hands-on activities, and open communication to ensure every lesson resonates. I prioritize building confidence and celebrating small successes, as I find nothing more rewarding than witnessing that "aha!" moment when a concept finally clicks. I am happy to meet at your home, a local library, or online to provide consistent, patient support. Whether we are tackling a challenging subject or building new skills, I look forward to partnering with your family to help your student thrive.
