I am soon to be a full retirement age young woman. I am looking for a flexible nanny position one or two days a week or temp nanny jobs so I can have my cake and eat it too. Keeping my hand in with children but also enjoying some retirement days. I've worked 20 plus years as a professional nanny and teacher with a BS in Education. In the classroom setting I've worked with preschool and elementary age children. As a professional nanny I have worked with newborns through teen years I also have experience working with children in the ChildLife capacity and in a public library setting planning and running my own story time along with summer reading programs. I have also enjoyed tutoring children during the years. I've done volunteer work with the Red Cross children's program, church programs and helping families in need. I am CPR and First Aid certified and trained in Orton-Gillingham reading method.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of employing Sharron as our nanny for the last three years. Sharron started with us when our oldest was only 6 months old and has been a staple in our lives ever since. She has cared for our daughter (3 years old) and son (1 year old). We are saddened that we will not have her care for our children any longer as our family is relocating out of state. Sharron is compassionate, caring, and empathetic – a real gift for a first-time parent. She always listened to our concerns and was a great sounding board when we needed advice. Likewise, if she had a question about our parenting philosophy or the goings-on in our home, Sharron would always seek out clarification if needed She is organized both as far as time management and materials/food preparation. Something we looked for when initially hiring was for our nanny to have a background in education. Sharron’s wealth of knowledge has absolutely been of benefit to our children. I appreciate that she always had a plan for the day and activities for our children. She is creative and reflective upon what would serve the child best and individualizes activities for ability level and interests. She knew that our eldest needed more social experiences and sought out music classes and activities at the library that would be beneficial to our daughter. She also made sure our children had time outside and were not sitting watching television all day. Sharron would be a great nanny for any family who is looking for an employee who is thoughtful, dedicated, communicative, and has a high emotional intelligence. Sharron is patient and adaptable when changes or challenges arise.
