I'm passionate that "every" person "needs" to be treated with respect and as an "individual". I have been in the Social Work field for most of my life, starting as a teenage volunteer at Christiana Hospital. I love and appreciate the opportunity to be part of a team to help individuals with special needs. Health and safety are always my top priority. I have been a residential manager for special needs men and woman, including five homes. The experienced blessed my life as the individuals superseded their set goals and started to experience their dreams. I continue to work in this field and enjoy meeting new individuals and their families. The individuals have had many different diagnosis, including but not limited to, developmentally disabled, tourettes, mental heath issues, blind, physical limitations etc. I review the diagnosis then base the person's care on an individual basis. The person is not their diagnosis and deserve to live their heart's desires.
