I started in housekeeping at a memory care community, where I learned how important it is to treat every resident with patience and respect. Spending time in their rooms helped me understand that comfort, routine, and small details matter deeply for people living with dementia. When I became a Resident Care Associate, I provided hands-on care, helped with daily activities, and supported residents through moments of confusion or anxiety. I learned how to stay calm, observe changes, and communicate with care.
