About Sharon

Sharon was amazing with my mother in law Agnes. Sharon was very knowledgeable and very good at what she did. She not only helped with showering, toileting, dressing, meal prep, light cleaning, but she also was there for her as a companion. She would take her outside to get some fresh air. If we set up outside activities or if she had doctors appointments, Sharon was happy to go along and help. Sharon played cards and games with her. Sharon helped my mother-in-law get back into doing her needlepoint which is something my mother-in-law loved to do but had stopped doing because the boys couldn’t help her with that. So my mother-in-law was so happy when she was finally able to get back to her needle point . My mother-in-law was hard of hearing, and Sharon did very well at communicating with her and talking to her throughout the day, even though she couldn’t hear her very well. Sharon was very kind very patient and just a pleasure to have around. She not only helped my mother-in-law, but she was also very helpful to her sons that lived with her as well as to me and my husband who lived in the other house on the property. If we needed her for extra days or extra hours, if she was available, she was happy to come and do it. If there were days that she needed to take off, she would offer to come back another day to make up for the hours that she couldn’t be there. My mother-in-law was very comfortable with her and enjoyed her company. Sharon was more than happy to do anything that we asked of her that would help us out. She really made it possible for us to keep my mother-in-law at home where she could live out her last years, which is what she really wanted. We were very grateful to have had her.
