I'd describe my personality as patient, calm, and understanding. I like caring for people with special needs because I recognize the inherent value in all people and I enjoy helping individuals with special needs be happy and thrive. I'm looking for a job that is fulfilling and rewarding. I started caring for people with special needs when I started my college education in special education and began working as an instructional assistant. I am now a self-contained autism teacher. In my spare time, I like to work in my garden and play with my puppy. One thing you should know about me is I have a lot of experience with a variety of people with autism. My skills include looking at behaviors objectively, proactively finding things to do to entertain or engage children, and providing routine and structure when needed.
