Experience/Bio:

I reside in the back Bay Area with my 6-year-old baby girl. I have 16 years of experience caring for children of all ages with a specialty in infants and toddlers. I consider my self a vibrant and nurturing individual. Some of my interests including arts and crafts, as well as cooking and reading. I am lead teacher certified by EEC, and I have obtained a Masters in Early Childhood Education. 

In addition to my first aid and CPR, Ive received my newborn care expert certification which gives me experience in care for newborns, overnight care and sleep training!

Shai responded promptly to my request for same day childcare for my 9 month old. She arrived on time, was professional, and warm and loving toward my little one. She followed all instructions and checked in with me throughout the day. It can be unnerving leaving your child with someone new but Shai was a trustworthy and excellent caregiver. 

Shai was great watching our 14-month old for about 8 hours. Would recommend her. From feeding to diaper changes and playtime, Shai was totally comfortable and good at adapting to the various moods of a 14-month old.

I did not have a positive experience with Sharice. I hired her to watch our 16-month old one morning while my husband and I worked from home. During our time with her, she seemed preoccupied and uninterested in caring for our toddler, which was baffling to me! Perhaps she was having a bad day. Afterward, she messaged me several times about receiving her payment (I had already paid through Care.com, as is customary). After canceling a separate booking following this bad experience, she messaged me, insisting that I still pay her for the booking I cancelled 6 days in advance (against care.com cancellation policy).

Shai did a great job with our 11 month old and 2 year old.  We plan to hire her again!

Shai has been watching our one year old son on weekends for almost a year. She has been reliable and caring. She's eager to take on extra hours and shifts when we need her. Our son will miss her when we move!

Shai was able to help take care of our 4 month old for a two week period as a nanny in a time of great need while we waited for a daycare opening. She was extremely responsive and caring, and our son loved her! He's in daycare now, but we will definitely ask her to babysit in the future

Shai cared for my 8 month old daughter for about a month as a temporary nanny. As a nanny, she was patient and fun and introduced her to new activities. She was able to rock the baby to sleep even when she was fighting hard against it and successfully transferred her to the crib every time. As an employee, she was responsive to feedback or requests and was an effective communicator.

Shai was great with our babies! The twins are a handful, but she managed to get them down for naps, play with them in their play pen, and keep up with their feeds all on her first day! You can tell she comes with a lot of experience. I'd definitely hire her again.

Hired Shai to care for our 2-year-old who hasn't had a lot of experience with babysitters. She did a great job of getting him fed, bathed, and put to bed. Would definitely hire her again.

Shai watched our 4 month old baby with very short notice and was incredibly patient with her even though she was very cranky. Shai read and played with her a great deal. She is very knowledgeable about children at all ages. We'd love to hire her again to watch our little girl.

Shai often takes care of our infant overnight. He has some health issues and we couldn't trust her more with his care. We always look forward to having her here. She's also very safe in these times of COVID, which means a lot to us. She communicates quickly via phone and text.
