I began my child care career as a volunteer in a YMCA child-watch program back when I was 15, caring for children ages 3 months to 5 years. I have enjoyed a great career thus far in being able to care for many children of all different backgrounds and ages throughout the years. I was a Certified Medical Assistant in the state of CA and have current CPR certification and first aid knowledge. I enjoy spending my days with "my" kids and watching them grow and learn. I am very focused on the development and overall well-being of the children I work for; I regularly suggest appropriate toys and activities to help them learn. I enjoy getting outdoors, reading, eating, dancing and all things music.

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Shardea to care for our newborn last year. From the very first evening, she brought a calming, professional presence into our household and gave the peace of mind we needed as new parents. She’s attentive and clearly very experienced with babies. My baby loves her sweet voice and always quickly falls asleep after the feeding. She also keeps careful notes for us, and makes the next bottle and puts it in the fridge everytime before she leaves. Everything she does reflects genuine care and reliability, and we’ve been able to rest very well at night. Shardea also helped us with daytime baby-sitting sometimes when we were out. We wholeheartedly recommend Shardea to families looking for compassionate and dependable baby care.
