About Shannon

I strive to be a positive role model, to support and help children reach their developmental goals. I have experience as a Classroom Aide at the Oneida Head Start Preschool Program, with children ages 3 to 5 years old as well as babysitting. I am patient, calm, and creative. I'm happy to provide verbal updates at pickup, written daily reports, and updates via text or call. My approach to behavior management includes positive reinforcement, redirection, and modeling social skills. I help children understand the reasons for rules and limits, so they feel good about their choices. I believe that children learn best through play, in a safe and supportive environment. I offer learning activities, craft activities, free play, outdoor time, and story time. I have clearances and certifications posted and available to parents. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided, safe, clean environment and fenced backyard.
