About Shannon

Hello! I am an experienced caregiver, specializing in care for individuals who are experiencing complex medical issues (including dementia, cancer, multiple sclerosis, pneumonia, c diff, stroke, and orthopedic surgeries); as well as providing respite care for full-time or family caregivers. I have a degree in occupational therapy but have spent the last 5 years caring for my family; providing 24/7 care for my grandmother who had Alzheimer's and, subsequently, a stroke; my uncle who had Lewy body dementia, and my father who had stage 4 lung cancer. I am an avid music, history, and trivia buff. I collect board games, rare/first edition books, pre-1950 maps, and vinyl records spanning several decades. I have a completely open schedule, including weekends and overnights. I have a clean driving record and reliable car; I can drive to and from appointments (and wait there with you). I am flexible and have no problem accommodating last minute schedule changes.
