About Shannon

Hi! My name is Shannon, and I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree in Clinical & Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Child & Adolescent Counseling. I recently graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Psychology and am looking for part-time childcare opportunities while in graduate school. I have experience working with children of various ages and backgrounds, including children with special needs such as cerebral palsy. Through both my academic training and hands-on experience, I've developed strong skills in communication, patience, and creating a safe, supportive environment for children. I'm happy to help with homework, activities, meals, transportation, bedtime routines, and general childcare needs. Families describe me as responsible, compassionate, reliable, and engaging. My goal is always to provide a safe, positive, and fun environment where children can thrive while parents feel confident their children are in good hands!
