Nurturing young minds is a true passion of mine, and I'm driven to positively impact children's lives while supporting families. I have cared for my own children for the past 20 years. Prior to that I was a preschool teacher for four years. I'm comfortable with up to two children at a time. I'm patient, creative, and friendly, with some college and Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework. I am Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certified. I enjoy playing outdoor sports, board games, and educational games. I am very comfortable enforcing household rules. I will communicate with you according to your preferred method. I'm happy to help with cooking, carpooling, light housekeeping, crafts, and swimming supervision. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I am eager to bring my experience and enthusiasm to your family and create a nurturing environment for your children to thrive.
I cannot recommend Shannon highly enough. She has been an incredible nanny to my 18-month-old son, and from the very beginning she listened carefully to and respected all of my requests—not only regarding his daily care, but also my goals for his development. I was specifically seeking someone with an early childhood background who truly understood how to engage a child at this age—curious, observant, and absorbing everything around them—and Shannon exceeded every expectation. She took the time to thoroughly read through the detailed schedule and care/development plan I had written and followed it precisely, with thoughtfulness and consistency. Shannon actively supported my son’s growth by singing with him, reading books together, and engaging him in age-appropriate, enriching activities. She had a strong understanding of his sleep needs and routines, and she was especially wonderful during a challenging cold and flu season—patient, attentive, and deeply caring. I would have absolutely continued having Shannon as part of our family if we were not relocating. Any family who welcomes her into their home will be incredibly fortunate. She is nurturing, knowledgeable, dependable, and truly invested in the children she cares for.
