Hi there, My name is Shannon and I have over 12 years of experience with children ranging from newborn all the way to teen. My mother owns an in-home daycare/preschool and I have always loved helping out when I could. When I got to the age of about 13-14 I became an evening babysitter for a few of her daycare families and eventually became a nanny while I was a senior in high school and after graduation for 2 years. I absolutely love children and enjoy teaching skills such as numbers, letters colors and shapes; playing, outdoor adventures, animals, and allowing the child to feel safe and comfortable at all times. I like to encourage learning as much as possible. My greatest experience is helping raise my step son who is on the spectrum and will be 6 this June who is one of my best friends, truly. I was in a pickle and at the last minute Shannon came to the rescue! It was short notice and she did fabulously with our little girl. Our girl is 1 1/2,l yrs old, a busy bee and can be fussy but with Shannon they acted like they’ve known each other forever. Shannon was attentive, playful, respectful, punctual, and communicative while watching her. She sent me updates regularly and asked questions to make sure she was following the routine we already had in place. Highly recommend! We will definitely be seeing Shannon again!
