Hello Everyone! My name is Shannon and I am a student at the University of Florida and I am also a nursing assistant at UF Health Shands. I love my job and the people I work with and getting to meet new people and help them receive quality patient care during their experience. Before I left for college, I was a nanny to a BEAUTIFUL little girl from the time she was born up until she was 4, and her little sister who I also took care of from birth up until she was a little over a year old. Before that I babysat for families in my neighborhood and that involved children of all ages. I love kids and I love interacting with them and having fun. At the hospital, I have experience working in the pediatric units, caring for sick children, as well as in the adult units. I am CPR certified and also BLS certified and I love my job. Taking care of people is my job and I would love to get back to doing it for fun outside of work part-time!
