Hey! I have many younger cousins and have been caring for children all of my life. I was an activity director in the nursery at my church for five years, which covered about 30 kids ages 0-4 weekly. I have many experiences with children from the ages of 1 week to 10 years. I am CPR and first aid certified and am very good with stressful situations. My first official nanny position was with twin boys and was with them from 5 weeks-14 months. I do have some experience with children and adults with special needs. Also, since my mother has worked in long-term care for most of my life, I have spent a lot of time around the elderly and dearly enjoy my time with them. In the past 5 years I have focused exclusively on infant care(siblings included!). It's always amazing to be able to love on them when you are not able to, and help them achieve milestones! Whether you're first time parents like us, or have 6 kids, you want the person watching your kid(s) to check all the boxes. That's Shannon. She has proven to be reliable, trustworthy, caring, and intentional with our little one, over the past 5 months, who is now a 9-month old. Not only is she a great sitter and caretaker, she brings perspective and ideas to the table that we would've never thought of. She's wise beyond her years and takes her work seriously. She has shown us a lot of loyalty, and we have seen our dog and our daughter both gravitate to her so quickly and that means the world to us.
