I am a childcare professional with over 10 years of experience creating spaces of genuine connection, safety, and playfulness while working to develop the child's behavioral and emotional skills. CAREGIVING PHILOSOPHY I believe that children are full humans with a lot to say and even more to teach us. Children constantly communicate through actions and behaviors, and it is our responsibility to listen. We are here to guide, love, and encourage them as well as provide tools necessary for them to be in tune with not only themselves but others, which is the basis of a more connected and kinder society. I practice gentle caregiving using listening, empathy, and understanding over the ease of fear based discipline or punishment. I use positive reinforcement to uplift the child and build their sense of self. I also practice social and emotional management by closely guiding the child in identifying their big emotion, safely moving through it, and reaching a solution when possible.
