As an ambitious and hard working individual, I am often recognized for my people skills, dependability, and compassion. I first discovered my passion for caring for those with special needs when I was a freshman in high school. I started sitting for my neighbor who had a mild case of autism. I was then introduced to the Special Olympics where I volunteered with the bowling team for several years. I also was a teachers aid for the special needs art class in high school. I started working for a nursing home feeding and doing activities with the dementia patients my senior year. Once I graduated I then started working for a company as a CLS. I provided 24/7 medical and physical care for low functioning intellectually disabled consumers. I worked with multiple patients with many forms of disabilities. I am passionate about what I do because it brings me joy every day knowing I am helping someone live the best life that they can regardless of what obstacles they may face.
