I am 47 years old and do not remember a time when we did not have a pet to care for across my lifespan. I currently have a yellow lab that is 13 years old, and a Ragdoll cat that is 9 years old. As a child, I was often at my grandparents farm helping them care for cows and horses. I have never had a paid pet sitting career, but have cared for the pets of family friends. I am good with walking dogs and doing basic care of other animals. I am not comfortable with snakes or spiders of any kind (it's an irrational fear, but still exists).
