My background as a Speech-Language Pathologist provides a strong foundation for supporting students in language arts, including reading, writing, comprehension, and spelling. Through my clinical training and school-based experience, I use targeted strategies to strengthen phonological awareness, decoding, vocabulary, and written expression while adapting instruction to each learner's needs. I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach and incorporate structured, multisensory techniques to build literacy skills and confidence in struggling readers and writers. My approach is patient, individualized, and focused on helping students develop both skill mastery and a positive relationship with learning. I have also taught dance classes for children ages 4-7, where I created engaging, supportive environments that foster creativity while reinforcing skills such as following directions, memory, attention, and teamwork.
