Hi! I'm an SB native with over 35 years of experience in child care. I worked as a Nurse Apprentice (working alongside but below an R. N and above a CNA) while I was in nursing school and spent a year in Pediatrics which was my favorite part. I gained the greatest experience as a mother myself and raised the two most incredible young men on this earth. I owned and operated an in-home daycare for almost 11 years. I do what I do because I truly love children; playing with them, having fun, making each child feel loved and fostering their individual interests in a safe, warm and nurturing environment. This helps me when I create age appropriate curriculum for each child. I'm CPR and First Aid Certified for so ages. Shannon was our nanny for our 2 year old daughter for a little over a year, and she also watched our 4 year old son at times as well. Shannon is a deeply loving and caring person who formed a strong connection with our daughter and everyone in our family. We could always trust her excellent judgement regarding both child safety and redirecting challenging toddler behaviors. She is a skilled teacher and great communicator. We always felt engaged in the fun activities she was doing with our daughter, especially through seeing the curriculum plan she chose to write out and the meaningful crafts they completed together.
