About Shannon

I worked at a senior living home for 3 years, 4 days a week. I prepared specialized food for the residents of the home and attended to any further needs necessary, including sitting and talking with residents for hours. I also have been taking care of my grandfather for 3 years now as he deals with a disease called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). It has taught me patience, good listening, and responsibility. Both of these experiences have taught me the following: how to meal prep for special dietary needs, how to communicate verbally and physically (my grandpa struggles with speech), how to assist with mobility, how to be a listening ear and have patience when it is needed, and many other things.
