About Shannon

I am 26 years old. I graduated from UMUC in December of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree. My concentrations were centered around the social sciences and I grew to be passionate about gerontology. I have always enjoyed taking care of others and especially enjoy the company of the older adult demographic. I first began caregiving in June of 2013. I have experience with driving and accompanying patients to doctor appointments, assuming household duties, medication management, grocery shopping, assisting the individual with cooking, meal preparation, dressing, going on walks, companionship, etc. I also have experience with pet care since my clients usually have a fur companion such as a cat or dog. I have housesat and taken care of multiple pets--for traveling families. I have taken care of two adults with dementia (varying diagnosis'/different levels of severeness), one adult with Alzheimer's, and one adult with Multiple Sclerosis.
