My name is Shannon. Caring for children is my passion, and something I have done since a very young age. I have experience working with children aged 6 months to 17 years old, as well as with the adult and senior population. I graduated this May with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. I have babysat and nannied for families since the age of 15. During my sophomore year of college I took a full time position as a preschool teacher in Brockport. I also worked a year in Brockport Central School District as a substitute and aid in Special Education classrooms. I worked in classrooms ranging from pre-school to twelfth grade. I have also tutored a student who has a severe learning disability one on one on a variety of subjects over the past year. Additionally I have volunteered at Compeer where I have worked on on one with children who have mental illnesses. I have also worked as a Pre Vocational Specialist and DSP with adults and seniors with disabilities at the Arc MH.
