My senior care experience is very personal.. I took care of my grandmother for 13 years. She had tons of different diagnosis.. high blood pressure, diabetes, open heart surgery, poor circulation, dementia.. she had 4 heart attacks and 3 strokes. I mean my gma had it all truthfully! But she fought til there was no more fight in her. my mother and I moved her to Yonkers from Puerto Rico and became her primary care givers. I did meal prep/cooking, bathing, diaper changing, dressing, nail painting, hair brushing, makeup, errands, doctors appointments, transfers to and from bed to wheelchair, I even picked her up off the floor a few times when she would fall off of her bed or trip over something, medication prompting, exercising. we did it all!
