About Shanie

I'm a graduate student finishing my Master's theses in Philosophy and Religious Studies. Before, I worked full-time at a non-profit as an economic empowerment caseworker. I recently moved back to Boston, and am looking for part time childcare work. I spend most of my time reading and writing, and I'm looking forward to some face-to-face imaginative play and thinking with those best at it: kids! I am a creative, caring, and interested caregiver excited to support the right family. I am experience as an afterschool nanny (including after school pickup), assistant art teacher, and sleep away camp counselor -- and also babysitting experience since 2016. I've worked with kids from ages 2 through 13. I love to read, bake (with an expertise in vegan baking but open to it all), make art (painting, drawing, block prints), and go outside. I am open to providing homework help and cooking meals for kids.
