About Shania

Hi! I'm Shania, a skilled nanny who values engagement, screen free fun and making connections with families. I've worked with kids for 15 years; starting in high school, through college, and continued part time while working as a mental health clinician for adults with disabilities. I started in behavioral support with the Woodlands Foundation and found what I love to do. After some time working with adults in the system, I decided to shift my skills and focus, transitioning to nannying full time. I enjoy getting to know the kids I work with to find or make activities that support their development and natural curiosity while utilizing community resources like libraries and parks. Cooperating with families to support the kids is very important to me and guides our time together. Outside of work, my time is mostly spent with my dog, Fig, working in a variety of sports and keeping up his obedience/service dog training.
