About Shania

Unlocking a student's unique potential through personalized support is the cornerstone of my teaching philosophy. With two years of experience, I specialize in Math, English, and Science for elementary and middle school students. I currently work for Vancouver Public Schools as a paraeducator and almost done with my bachelors in Elementary Education. I assess your child's learning style by encouraging open communication to determine which methods resonate best. To keep students engaged, I break complex problems into manageable steps and celebrate every small success. I believe regular updates and open dialogue with parents are essential for consistent progress. Whether it is witnessing that "aha!" moment or building a supportive rapport, I find deep fulfillment in making learning enjoyable. I am happy to travel to your home to help your student thrive, and I look forward to embarking on this educational journey with you.
