About Shane

My name is Shane & I've always had a heart for & been good with kids. I got my degree in El. Ed. & spent a total of five years teaching: 3 years in 2nd grade, 1 year in 5th, and 1 year in 4th. Kids tend to gravitate toward me & I do very well connecting with them. Hope you will consider me in helping you with yours & your children's needs! I'd describe my personality as Patient, Fun-Loving, & Compassionate. I like working with kids b/c I once was a teacher & being around them was always fun & brought out a very positive experience. I quit teaching because of what it demands, but still very much enjoy kids. I started working with kids when I was in college at the Univ. of Nebraska-Lincoln. In my spare time, I like to go to the gym, ride bike, do triathlon, hike, spend time going to young adult events, & I read & write a bit. One thing you should know about me is your kids will love me. My skills include being empathetic, fun, & gentle in the way of teaching discipline if needed.
